Yoshimura Hideo Shoten
Located along the banks of Wakayama Prefecture’s Kinokawa River, this brewery carries on a tradition of sake-making that has flourished since the mid-Edo period (19th century). Established in 1914 by Hideo Yoshimura, born into a family of raw silk producers, the brewery has inherited a deep respect for nature and craftsmanship.
The pure waters of the Kinokawa River—an enduring source of life and culture for the region—are an indispensable element in the brewing process. Every drop of sake here is crafted with water drawn from the river’s underground flow, combined with carefully selected rice and natural microorganisms.
In this serene environment, sake-making feels like a sacred craft. The brewers’ greatest reward is knowing that their sake enhances the moments it accompanies—whether at a casual dinner or a milestone celebration.
With each bottle, the brewery strives to bring a sense of joy and satisfaction to the dining table, sharing the beauty of Wakayama’s nature and tradition with every sip.
